The high school camp is part of a nationwide dual career program, the aim of which is to combine schooling and internships.

The Finnish Olympic Committee guides the athlete's dual career work. The Finnish Sports Institutes Association is responsible for developing and coordinating the national middle school camp, together with the sports institutes.
The camp will be held in two groups during the 2026-2027 school year. Group divisions will be made later. Below you can see the dates of the group camps. If the dates change, they will be updated on this website and campers and parents will be notified by email.

What does a middle school camp include?
- A comprehensive program on the path to becoming an athlete
- Utilizing the expertise of the Sports Institute and the Finnish Volleyball Federation
- The focus is on life management skills and growing as an athlete (including nutrition, rest, sleep, school, mental training and time management).
Who is the middle school camp intended for?
- For students in grades 7–9
- The athlete and family are expected to be ready to commit to a year-long project, i.e. to each of the four camps.
Practising
- At the camp, we practice sports and characteristics 1-3 times a day.
- Focus on skill and physical training as well as sports training
- Versatile testing and monitoring

Study
- During camp days, students will be supervised in the Sports Institute, 3 hours/day under adult supervision.
- The studies are carried out on the "homework principle".
- You can also take tests during the camps.
Price 290€ /person / 3-day camp
- The full board price includes accommodation, breakfast, snacks, lunch, dinner and evening meal.
- Extra night (Sun-Mon) + breakfast €45/person
- Material fee €10/person, charged at the first camp. Includes the Grow as an Athlete workbook, other additional materials and a camp shirt.
The application is open from 6.4.-7.8.2026
Camping is education under liberal educational work, which is regulated by the Act on Liberal Educational Work (632/1998).
