Sports and Art 15.-17.5.2026
What happens when the body is first allowed to move, the senses open, and the mind calm down – and only then does the hand grab the brush or pen?
Exercise & Art is a weekend course organized by Tanhuvaara Sports School, where movement and creativity combine into a natural experience. The weekend offers participants the opportunity to tune in on a body and mind level, observe the environment and transfer experiences into artistic expressionThe common thread of the course is observation through bodily awakening, which opens doors to creative work without performance pressure.
Moving around in nature and the sensations it offers play a central role – they serve as both a source of inspiration and a working space. The program includes sensual moments, body-awakening exercises and activities that interact with nature, after which we move on to painting, drawing and handling materials. Art work is based on our own observations and experiences: everyone works on their own expressive starting points, reflects on what they have done and shares their views with the group.
The course is designed to include: personal time for rest, digestion and the formation of thoughtsAt the end of the weekend, we will have a joint review of what we did and discuss our experiences and insights.
This theme weekend is suitable for anyone who wants to combines body movement and artistic expression in an inspiring natural environment, and allows time for presence, observation and creativity.
