The autumn meeting of the Tanhuvaara Foundation's supervisory board was held on Monday, November 18.11.2019, 1.1.2020 in Tanhuvaara. Personnel appointments were made at the meeting, which will take effect on January XNUMX, XNUMX.
GOVERNMENT
Following changes to the foundation's rules, the board can now consist of four to six people. According to the proposal of the Nomination Committee (Chairman Kari Schemeikka, Deputy Chairmen Jouni Backman, Riikka Juntunen, Secretary Erkki Kauppinen), the size of the board in 2020 will be six members.
Sports Councillor Heino Lipsanen (term of office 2019-2020) and Mayor Mervi Simoska (term of office 2019-2020) will continue on the board. It was Heikki Hämäläinen and Janne Rönnbäck who resigned.
In accordance with the nomination committee's proposal, the retiring CEO, Commercial Counselor Heikki Hämäläinen, and the newly elected attorney Antti Vainio, entrepreneur, CEO Jyrki Seppä, and the representative of the City of Savonlinna, member of the House of Representatives Sanna Metsälä, were elected as members of the Board of Directors. According to the rules, two to three members must be retired each year, so one of the four elected Board members was drawn for one year (2020). The term of office of the other three is 2020-2021. The one-year term was drawn for Antti Vainio.
The Board of Directors will elect a Chairman and Vice Chairman from among its members at its first meeting of 2020.

According to the rules, the number of members of the Supervisory Board can be 12-20 (+ alternate members). Now the number of members of the Supervisory Board has been 16 (+16).
According to the Nomination Committee's proposal, the number of members of the Supervisory Board in 2020 will be 20 (+20) people.
In accordance with the nomination committee's proposal, the following decisions were made:
Jouni Backman (deputy member Kirsi Torikka) and Lenita Toivakka (Pirkko Valtola) will continue on the Supervisory Board after they retire.
