The Forest Camp School is full of nature experiences and the joy of exercise! The program is designed around moving around in the forest and learning wilderness skills, without forgetting Tanhuvaara's other fun physical activities!

The sample program has been prepared for a two-day camp school, but we also plan packages lasting several days.
For an additional fee, there is also the option of Paintball or a beach sauna evening. Ask for more information!
The guidance is provided by Tanhuvaara's instructors and
physical education counselor students.
Diverse activities – Exercise, adventure and togetherness
In addition to the beautiful surrounding nature, we have a variety of indoor sports facilities, a spa, an ice rink and a new football hall, which offer an active pastime regardless of the season. The forest camp is suitable for school and study groups of all ages.
Our camp school package is a complete package that includes everything: accommodation, a delicious buffet table in our own restaurant (breakfast, lunch, dinner and also an evening snack), and diverse program options. Easy, right?
Visit to the Finnish Forest Museum in Lusto
The Forest Camp School culminates with a visit to the Finnish Forest Museum in Lusto, Punkaharju. The visit includes a guided tour of the Lusto exhibitions and the Punkaharju Research Park led by a guide.
In the research park, you can also learn about domestic and foreign tree species!

Tanhuvaara accommodation facilities provide a comfortable and safe environment for camp students.
The rooms are for 2–4 people, each with its own toilet and shower.
For larger groups, there is also the option to book family rooms or connecting rooms, which bring more flexibility to your accommodation.

Double rooms with extra beds for three or four people.
Living area with kitchen both upstairs and downstairs.
The rooms have been renovated during 2020.
Hotel Kaartila
36 x 2-person rooms. A chair bed for a third person.
Two rooms can be connected with a connecting door.
The rooms have kitchenettes, shower & toilet and drying cabinets.
Terraced house
17 rooms with kitchenettes, including 5 double apartments with shared intermediate kitchen & shower/toilet facilities.
Access to rooms from outside.
The rooms have been renovated during 2021.
Food is one of Tanhuvaara's absolute strengths
Tanhuvaara's kitchen is known for its delicious and nutritious food, which is carefully prepared from domestic ingredients.
Meals are served from a buffet, with options for different tastes and diets.
Special diets are always taken into account based on information provided in advance so that everyone can enjoy their meals without worry.
Snacks and packed lunches for trips
If necessary, we can prepare packed lunches for camp school children on field trips, making meals easy to eat even when out in nature.
